MEMORY VS BRAIN

Did you know the differences between memory and brain ?

BRAIN

  • Brain is an organ of soft nervous system tissue.
  • Brain coordinating centre of sensation, intelectual and nervous activity.
  • Brain is one of the most amazing organ that Allah S.W.T. created for every creatures.
  • The brain is divided into two parts which is the left side and the right side.
  • It has the same function as computer hardware.
  • Basically it's a person mind.

THE FUNCTION OF LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE BRAIN

MEMORY
  • Memory is the ability of the individual to store, retain and remember information and experiences.
  • It has the same function as a computer software.
  • Memory system is divided into 3 types of memory which is sensory memory, short-term memory and long-term memory.

Understanding memory process

MEMORY PROCESS

SENSORY MEMORY

  • Sensory information involve all the human senses such as sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell to store into the sensory memory.
  • Allow individual to retains impression of sensory information.
  • It just for a temporary time.
  • If they give attention to the information it will be store in the short-term memory.
  • If we didn't give attention to the information, it will be forgotten immediately.

SHORT-TERM MEMORY

  • Short-term memory is a process that allows information to be received and stored within a short period of between 30 seconds to 24 hours from the information that they received from sensory memory.
  • The storage of short-term memory is limited so it will be forgotten if it doesn't important.
  • Some of the information in the short-term memory system will enter the long-term memory system if it is given focus and repetition
  • The information stored on the short-term memory system will only disappear

Long-term memory

  • Long-term memory is a memory of an information, experience and intelectual that we can remember for a long time.
  • Every information that were stored in the long-term memory system is retained until the end of a person's life but it will depends on the ability of someone to recall the information from the memory warehouse.

recall

  • Recall is the mental process of retrieval of information from the past.
  • The weakness to recall all the information that was keep in the long-term memory system is we keep forgetting all the information.
  • The genius and the remarkable memory are those who are capable of "recall" the information stored in the long-term memory system.
